First steps.

I opened my eyes and I was sitting in a tavern, but this wasn’t some usually tavern it was very high tech. They had 3D projectors showing off the apex games. In the middle of the tavern was the bar I walked over to the counter which was floating with floating chairs around it. I went and sat down and in front of me was blank white sheet. I touched it and it lit up as it was a news article welcoming all new legends to the game. “What will you be having” the bartender said. I looked around confused where he was at. “Move the news article I’m under it” it was small AI unit that was inter grated into the table. “I just want some water” I said. “Alright be ready the announcements will start here in a bit.” The AI said as it zipped to the other side of the counter. After a few minutes the 3D screens switched to a woman in a pure white suit. “Welcome! Welcome all to the Apex games! Here you will fight to become a legend. You will start off at level 1 from there train and rank up to level 10. After that if you want you can continue to dominate the normal league or you can challenge yourself and join ranked leagues. Ranked leagues will challenge to see what you are really made of. As everyone you challenge will be the same rank as you. Kill them and score points, win and score points. Lose or don’t kill anyone and you will lose points. You will start from bronze and there you can go all the way up to the highest rank Apex Predator! Now go my young legends and join the games and show us what you got!” The crowd in the audience went crazy at the end of her speech. People cheering and chanting excited to see the next Apex games. I turned back to face my water when I deep mans voice approached me. “Hey young lad you wouldn’t to have happened to be new? Don’t answer that I can tell.” I looked over to the voice and the man behind him was tall and dark. He had frizzy curly hair that stood up on top of his head with a dark brown eye and a dark green eye. In flash his mighty hand slapped me in the back and I spit out my water. “Really man? Can you please just leave me alone” I said pissed off. “Haha don’t worry you are not that wet, but come on I need to show you how to level up.” “Why would you want to do that?” I said as I followed him up to this huge screen. “This is where you can find teams and find matches. Here you can join the games and rank your account up.” After a few moments of showing me how to use the terminal the man looked down to me. “Sorry I forgot introduce my self my name is Art, but in game I’m NoCoughSpecial but you can call me Art.” He said with a huge smile on his face. “Thanks and I’m Anthony but in game it’s ArkofZero.” “Nice name” he said as he slapped me on the back again. “Sorry could you not do that?” “Sorry about that! But hey I gotta go message me when you are level 10!” Art said as he walked away and got lost in the crowd of people. I turned to look around me behind me was the terminal and the huge screen of people’s ranks, people looking for teammates, and games currently going on. Covering the edge of the room were 4 levels and on each level where doors to enter the games with your team. I looked down at the terminal. On it it said “Find a team or join a match with pre-made team.” I raised my hand and pushed find a team in the terminal. After a few seconds a room number came up “404”. I looked around and seen my room on the 4th level. I walked over to the elevator in the middle of the room and rode it up to the 4th floor. Now by my room I took a deep breath and scanned my badge. The door opened and sitting in there were two people and with one last deep breath I entered the room.
